BodPod body composition analysis is the world’s gold standard for fast, accurate and safe body composition assessment. There are many reasons people choose BodPod testing over other forms of body composition testing, but here are five reasons my clients love the BodPod and you will, too!
Accurate testing results. With Gold Standard accuracy, The ADP technology uses whole body densitometric principles to determine body composition (Fat and Fat-Free Mass) guaranteeing high accuracy and excellent test-retest repeatability. As long as you follow your preparation instructions, you can guarantee your results will be the most accurate. The BodPod is calibrated each day and in between each client to ensure accuracy in testing.
Immediate results. The BodPod’s efficient automatic calibration system, the easy subject maneuvers and the user-friendly software interface allow for a complete test to be accomplished in less than 5 minutes. It takes us longer to get ready to get into the BodPod than what it takes to complete the test. As soon as you exit, your test results are available and waiting for you. In my office, I then take the time to sit with you and go over your results, making recommendations to help keep you on track to meeting your goal.
Know your numbers. My clients love the data that the BodPod gives them and being able to see it change as they work toward their composition goals. You can't change your numbers if you do not know your numbers. Knowing exactly which type of weight you are gaining or losing can help make your goals more tangible.
Safe and non-invasive. Unlike using calipers, which requires the tester to pinch skinfolds at 3-7 testing sites or Dexa, which utilizes radiation for measurement, the Bod Pod is safe and non-invasive. The BodPod's Air Displacement Plethysmography has eliminated the invasiveness of Dual Energy X-Ray Absorptiometry (DXA) as well as the difficulties associated with underwater submersion in hydrostatic weighing.
All ages can utilize it safely. The BodPod’s ability to test virtually all populations makes it the most flexible option for frequent testing and longitudinal tracking of body composition changes over time. The results of my clients' tests are tracked over time, and they are able to see similar or improved results over time by comparing what was happening at the time of their test. Athletes can compare pre-season to post-season or one pre-season to the previous year's pre-season. Weekend warriors can identify body composition changes before a new addition to the family compared to after and adjust accordingly to still obtain the results they are working toward. Clinical clients can track muscle mass gained or lost while healing from surgery or injury.
What is your why?
These are real reasons I see people every day both in my nutrition practice and in the BodPod.
The data provided by the BodPod is excellent for tracking data, but the difference it makes in how clients begin to interpret that data is amazing.
They worry less about their weight because they know the scale lies about what is really happening in their body.
They begin to fuel their body with the appropriate amount of food instead of chronically dieting once they see and understand their resting metabolic rate and total energy expenditure values.
They begin to understand the importance of a healthy metabolism and how muscle positively impacts that number.
If you are wanting to gain better insight and understanding into your body, don't rely on the scale, skinfold calipers or bioelectrical impedance to give you that data. Book a BodPod test and learn real information about your body.
